Have you checked in with yourself lately?
A regulaself-checkck is important to maintaining the balance of your mental, spiritual, physical and intellectual self. It is the first step towards truly understanding how you feel about your life and knowing what could use improvement.
Grab a journal, or piece of paper – or you can simply go through this in your mind.
Think of all the facets of your life as items on a dial. For this exercise choose one aspect. Then ask yourself how you are feeling about that subject, in mind, heart, body and spirit. Let’s use career / work as an example:
Mind – Do I feel stimulated? Am I challenged or bored? Am I learning?
Heart – What emotions does this evoke? What is my disposition when I am at work?
Body – Do I feel physically exhausted? Or too stationery? Does this allow me to be physically healthy?
Spirit – Am I inspired? Does this motivation me? Do I feel confident?
While you are asking yourself these questions, observe how you feel generally. Is it positive or negative? Do you feel tense or relaxed? Being mindful of yourself will lead to your inner truth.
